Stories are an integral part of communication. They're a powerful vehicle to help transfer ideas, make something sticky or memorable, inspire action, and more. A leader who can tell a story on purpose and with purpose will always outperform a leader who cannot. This 4-week Growth Group is a storytelling boot camp of sorts that will equip leaders to start using stories in team communication. Whether you're in a group meeting or a one-on-one, stories can help you reinforce the things you're communicating with your team.
This group includes the teaching of concepts and the application and practice of them as well. Here's a picture of our time together:
- In week 1 we'll look at a 3-step storytelling framework with examples and then we'll discuss how to find or create a story that applies to your business.
- In week 2 we'll look at a second 3-step storytelling framework option and we'll discuss how to polish and hone a story to be most effective.
- There will be "homework" along the way where you'll map out a story or two of your own and practice them outside of the group.
- Weeks 3 and 4 will center around group storytelling. You will practice telling short stories to the group and receive real-time feedback with the goal of having one or two stories ready to share with your team by the end of the Growth Group.
About the content
This content is based on Erik's method and approach to capturing, crafting, and using stories in day-to-day business or leadership settings. Drawing from various books and courses on storytelling, we'll focus on two very simple frameworks that help us create focused stories that we can use over the years as you increase your impact in your leadership.

Do I have to join with video or can I just use audio? + -
You are welcome to just call in via a phone number provided, or use Zoom with your camera turned off. The conversations are most engaging when we can all see one another, but that's not always possible for every person.
